Researchers from the University of Córdoba have voiced concerns regarding the pervasive nature of these AI creations across social media platforms. Their analysis of popular clips, such as a leopard interacting with a child or raccoons riding crocodiles, reveals a disturbing trend where animals are depicted with human-like characteristics or in situations entirely detached from reality. Such portrayals not only misrepresent species but also blur the lines between genuine wildlife and fantastical scenarios, making it challenging for audiences to discern authentic information from fabricated content.
The propagation of these artificial depictions poses several significant challenges, including a reduced appreciation for vulnerable species and an increased demand for exotic animals as pets.
