Godox Unveils AD300Pro II: Enhanced Outdoor Flash with Advanced Features

Five years after the original AD300Pro, Godox has released its successor, the AD300Pro II, an all-in-one outdoor flash unit. This portable flash maintains a robust 300Ws power output, delivering approximately 350 full-power flashes on a single charge and offering a quick recycling time between 0.01 and 1.5 seconds, depending on the power settings chosen. Godox assures users that this device is engineered for consistent performance during extensive outdoor shoots, minimizing interruptions and battery changes to maximize capture opportunities.

While retaining the core specifications of its predecessor, the AD300Pro II introduces several notable enhancements. A key advancement is the innovative one-tap wireless sync capability, which allows seamless connection with Godox X3 and X3Pro wireless triggers without complex manual configurations. Additionally, the new model extends power control from nine to ten stops, granting photographers more precise adjustments over their lighting. For those using cameras with advanced electronic shutters, like the a9 III with its global shutter, the AD300Pro II offers significantly shorter flash durations, reaching as low as 1/24,390 seconds, ensuring exceptional action-stopping power with consistent color stability.

Further improvements include an upgraded 12-watt modeling light, now featuring a bi-color LED with adjustable color temperatures ranging from 2800K to 6000K, a feature absent in the previous model. The main monolight provides a stable white balance of 5800K with a tight accuracy of ±200K. Weighing in at just 2.6 pounds (1.2 kilograms) with its battery, and measuring approximately 7.4 x 3.9 x 3.5 inches, the AD300Pro II is both compact and lightweight. It supports Godox’s proprietary modifiers and can also integrate with Bowens-mount accessories via an optional S3 bracket, and even extend compatibility to Broncolor, Profoto, and Elinchrom light-shaping tools through an optional AD-AB adapter. The flash is broadly compatible with most TTL systems from major camera brands, including Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, OM System, Panasonic, Sony, Leica, and Pentax, making it a versatile tool for diverse photographic needs.

This advanced lighting solution empowers photographers to achieve their creative visions with enhanced precision and reliability, marking a significant step forward in portable outdoor flash technology. The AD300Pro II demonstrates a commitment to innovation, providing tools that adapt to the evolving demands of modern photography and supporting artists in capturing decisive moments with unparalleled clarity.
